How the connection works

In Base44, click your workspace name in the bottom left corner and go to Settings → Account → MCP connections.

Click Add custom MCP. In Name, type meu ecommerce MCP; in URL, paste the server address.

In Authentication, choose OAuth.

Click Test & add and finish authorizing your store. The connection works in every app in your account.

In the app chat, ask: "add Correios shipping to the checkout".
MCP connections only work in the editor chat. In the published app, quotes and tracking come from our REST API: POST /v1/rates and POST /v1/tracking. Labels are MCP-only for now, so they stay in the chat.

The MCP handles shipping: it only needs the order data, such as CEP, weight and dimensions, wherever they come from.
With the MCP, the AI uses shipping tools that are ready, tested and maintained by us. You get security (authentication and Correios access stay on our side, with no exposed credentials), maintenance (when Correios changes rates, endpoints or rules, we update and nothing breaks) and support (if something goes wrong, you have someone to talk to). Integrating with Correios from scratch leaves the code and the maintenance to you.
